Engineering The Tactical Advantage

Deployable tools built to reduce exposure and increase control

Havoc Labs designs and builds deployable tools for law enforcement tools created to give officers a decisive advantage while reducing exposure, uncertainty, and unnecessary risk.

We focus on 40mm deployable technology because it allows officers to place capability exactly where it’s needed, from a position of safety and control. Every product we develop is intended to increase options, not force decisions.

Core Goal

Put capability forward

Design Rule

Options, not obligations

Why We Exist

Real environments, incomplete information, real risk

Modern law enforcement operates in increasingly complex, unpredictable environments. Officers are expected to make fast decisions with incomplete information, often while physically exposing themselves to unnecessary risk.

Havoc Labs exists to solve that problem.

Our goal is simple:
Put capability forward—before the officer has to enter the space.

Whether that capability is illumination, sensing, communication, or controlled access, we believe tools should work with officer tactics, not replace them.

How We Build

Prototype → test → revise

Havoc Labs is an engineering-first company.

  • Products are designed in close collaboration with experienced law-enforcement professionals
  • Prototypes are iterated through hands-on testing, not theoretical requirements
  • Systems are built to integrate with existing training and deployment methods

We deliberately avoid feature bloat, novelty for novelty’s sake, and unproven technology. If it doesn’t provide a clear tactical advantage, it doesn’t belong in the product.

Designed for Real Use

Built around constraints, not assumptions

Our tools are designed around real constraints:

  • Stress
  • Limited time
  • Imperfect deployment conditions
  • Existing platforms and training

We don’t expect officers to learn an entirely new way of operating. Havoc Labs products are built to be intuitive, reliable, and predictable under pressure.

What We’re Building

A family of deployable tools

Havoc Labs is currently focused on a family of 40mm deployable tools, including:

  • Infrared illumination devices
  • Controlled window breaching tools
  • Deployable two-way audio and communication systems

These tools are engineered to expand situational awareness and tactical control without increasing officer exposure. Future development includes additional deployable sensing, low-light technologies, and integrated systems designed to work together in layered deployments.

We keep claims and specs conservative on public pages. Agencies can request detailed information and demo coordination.

Who We Build For

Controlled distribution, responsible development

Havoc Labs products are designed exclusively for U.S. law enforcement agencies.

We work directly with officers, trainers, and command staff to ensure our tools meet real operational needs and fit within existing policy and training frameworks.

Our Philosophy

Principles that guide every product

  • Capability beats speed
  • Information beats assumption
  • Distance beats exposure
  • Tools should create options, not obligations

Every product we ship reflects these principles.

Founder

Engineering-led product design

Havoc Labs was founded by Chris Edmonds, an engineering-led product designer focused on building practical tools for high-risk environments.

Chris’s background spans product design, prototyping, and systems engineering, with a hands-on approach that emphasizes real-world constraints over theoretical performance. His work at Havoc Labs is informed by close collaboration with experienced law-enforcement professionals and trainers, ensuring that products are designed around how officers actually operate—not how tools are assumed to be used.

The company was founded on a simple principle: if a tool doesn’t measurably increase officer safety, control, or information, it doesn’t belong in the field.

Havoc Labs remains privately operated and engineering-led, allowing the company to prioritize responsible development, controlled distribution, and long-term reliability over rapid commercialization.
