Who This Is For

Field-driven ideas from public safety professionals

  • Law enforcement
  • Public safety professionals (fire/rescue, EMS, etc.)

If you’re not in one of those categories, this page isn’t the right channel.

What We’re Looking For

Recurring problems with clear outcomes where no tool exists or "better than nothing" is the only solution there is.

Havoc Labs specializes in developing tools that help officers break barriers to entry, increase situational intelligence, and restore control in high-friction situations. That said, ideas can be broader, and we're interested in what you have to say.

Great submissions include elements of the following:

  • A recurring operational problem (not a one-off)
  • A clear “success outcome”
  • Constraints (space, time, safety, environment)
  • Early concepts on how to solve the problem

Not accepted:

  • Firearms
  • Explosives not meant for breaching
  • Projectiles that contain accelerants
  • Products specifically designed to be lethal

How It Works

Submit → review → call → agreement → prototype

  1. Submit the problem and your concept
  2. We review for fit, feasibility, and safety constraints
  3. If it’s a fit, we schedule an initial call and share a formal submission agreement
  4. If selected, we move into design → prototype → testing with you and/or your team

Timeline is case-by-case and it will be typically be 4-8 weeks before you have the first prototype in hand. Speed is important, but so is officer safety and product quality.

What Does It Cost?

Simple: nothing up front

It costs nothing to submit an idea, and it costs nothing to have a prototype developed if your concept is selected. You may be asked to pay for shipping costs if shipping and handling is over a certain threshold, but we will discuss that with you before we ask you to pay anything.

In fact, if we take your idea through to production and it becomes a real product, you get paid.

  • No submission fees
  • No prototyping costs for selected ideas
  • Revenue participation if the product goes to market

Not every submission will be selected for development, and timelines are case-by-case. Compensation and ownership terms are defined in the formal submission agreement during the initial call.

Compensation & Ownership

If Havoc Labs chooses to take a submitted concept into production, the submitter will be eligible for:

  • Up to 35% of revenue from sales of that product (as defined in the formal agreement) through our Funded Department Program where a portion of yearly sales of your product go towards various funds for your department.

Submission does not guarantee prototyping, production, or compensation. Those terms only apply if we mutually execute the formal agreement after the initial call.

If We Already Have Something Similar in our Pipeline

If your submission overlaps with something already in our pipeline, we’ll tell you right from the beginning. We’ll invite you to be part of the test and feedback group for that solution to get something in your hands that helps solve your problem as soon as possible.

Submit an Idea

Problem first. Concept second. We’ll take it from there.

Tell us what you’re running into, how often it happens, and what a successful outcome looks like. If it fits our lane, we’ll follow up.

Submissions are non-confidential. There is no guarantee that Havoc Labs will prototype, produce, or compensate any submission. If your idea is a fit, we’ll schedule an initial call and provide a formal submission agreement that defines ownership and any revenue participation.
